Recycle IT Events

All Mountain Technologies assisted the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability in 2 Recycle IT Events in 2010. They will continue their support in 2011.

All Mountain Technologies and Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability set up drop off points around the community where people and businesses could drop off equipment no longer needed. All Mountain and Eagle Valley Alliance compiled all the equipment and Electronic Recyclers took it down to their center in Denver to be recycled.

“It was amazing how many people came and dropped equipment off to us, in the short time we were there. We will definitely be participating in this event in the future and hopefully All Mountain can be a regular drop off for IT Recycling” Chris Alexander, partner in All Mountain Technologies.

E Waste: This information was provided by Electronic Recyclers

E-waste is defined as all obsolete or outdated computers, televisions, cell phones, printers, PDAs, and thousands of other devices commonly used in offices, homes, and by people on the go. The global technological revolution is fueling the rapidly increasing e-waste recycling problem.

The demand to effectively and safely recycle the obsolete electronics is pushed by the same demands our society imposes to manufacture the new, smaller, faster more efficient software. The environmentally safe disposal of e-waste has rampantly become a problematic issue over the past decade. Technological advances and legislation on all levels has vaulted e-waste recycling into an evolving multi-billion dollar a year industry…

Eagle Valley Alliance is a community organization promoting sustainable practices in recycling, energy & renewable power, and green building. They have programs and events to educate the community on what “Green” means. http://www.eaglevalleyalliance.org/.

All Mountain Technologies also partnered with Electronic Recyclers who is responsible for collection of the materials as well as the recycling. It’s amazing to see all the different elements found in electronics and how they are dissected and recycle, every little piece, down to the copper wiring. Electronic Recyclers website will show you some amazing videos of the entire process. http://electronicrecyclers.com/
