All Mountain Technologies, a local company believes in doing business in a way forgotten by most businesses today.

They practice what they preach! All Mountain Technologies has put together their plan of “Green Computing”

Rob Bruce, Neal Henzler and Chris Alexander came and remain in this community because of the attraction to the environment and its people.

The goals of AMT’s “Green Computing”, is to save electricity and keep chemicals and old computing components out of our local environment.

How Did All Mountain Technologies save Electricity?

They saved by updating old equipment: “What you can buy today is half the price and triple the computing power of what you bought 4 years ago” say Chris Alexander partner at AMT.

“One new server today can run 5-7 virtual servers in one primary, physical server. This created significant cost savings to the business. The savings came in the labor of managing all the physical servers plus the extra bonus of the redundancy and backup of data.

The environmental impact this made was that Amt realized a 60% energy savings from using just the one server. The server room also afforded a big chunk of savings. The cost of cooling the server room with all those servers decreased and they did not have to redesign the server room to incorporate HVAC and larger cooling units.

How did All Mountain Technologies keep chemicals and old computing components out of the local landfill?

All old equipment was recycled with Electronics Recycler Inc. http://electronicrecyclers.com/

All Mountain Technologies also created a paperless environment for data storage and archiving.

All Mountain Technologies was successful in creating a “green computing” environment in their office, they can do the same for your business. Please give them a call to find out more about how they can help.
